Introductory Paragraph

I am Michael Green, born in Harlem and have lived in NYC all my life. Some of who I am today is the product of the environment I grew up in as it is for most people, but the time I spend online and with people outside of where I grew up I’d say had more of an influence. I had very little exposure to things related to Mathematics outside of school. So it was in school where I discovered I was good at it and I developed an interest in STEM fields from podcasts and ted talks. Mostly listening to anything astrophysics related. Through all my listening I learned that a lot of science had overlap with engineering. Scientist using the machines built by engineers in order to learn more about how our universe works. This is why I decided to major in Mechanical engineering. This is the product of me trying to find the orthogonal or right angle to match the skills I discovered I had with a career where those skill would be valuable. Although I discovered my strength in school was math I also discovered my weakness was writing. Things like spelling, grammar and structuring sentences have always been an issue for me. I am not a reader as Holes a book I read maybe 15 years ago is the last book I remember liking and that might be because there was a movie made about it. It has been audio books from there on. In life I enjoy science, math, movies, TV series, having philosophical discussion and spending time with friends and family.
